Call me before you’re dead; we’ll make some plans instead
New stuff over in the photo gallery. Check it out! Sexy hippos and graveyards abound!
So I'm done having killer mysterious headaches and surprising personal calamities and getting doubly suprising promotions. I Twitter now (peep that HA HA HA see what I did there) and I'm back to blogging, so it's now officially more than you can stand.

Hi, Mike.
Your photos are gorgeous. As a hometown kid, it’s always neat to see how other people see your city, and what they can show you that you haven’t seen. I haven’t been out to that cemetary on Point Loma, but I have been to Punchbowl Nat’l Cemetary in Honolulu, another naval graveyard, and it was stunning, too.
Oh, and if you care to know, I think the statue you had taken pictures of was Juan Cabrillo, who did indeed “discover” San Diego. I can’t be certain, as I haven’t been out to Cabrillo Nat’l Monument since elementary school, but I’d bet you a quarter.
Anyhow, thanks for posting your pictures!
